Sweet Poison Will Still Kill You

White supremacist is defined as "One who believes that white people are racially superior to others and should therefore dominate society"

I'm going to try giving an example of institutional white supremacy/racism.

Please stay with me and be patient because white supremacy/racism has become very refined in the past generation.

It used to be white supremacy/racism was easy for anyone to see. Way back when they (the white supremacists/racists) kidnaped and enslaved people of color. They stole the land and murdered those who fought against the taking of their homeland.

Later they made laws which denied people of color any prospect of due process or justice in any part of the world.

Today, those same laws are the foundation of present day white supremacy/racism.

A few weeks ago at the Trenton Board of Education meeting the Board members asked to be updated on all the school construction going on in the district. Specifically they wanted to know how minority employment were faring.

About five years ago when the New Jersey supreme court ruled in Abbott v. Burke, it mandated a massive construction program for the Abbott districts. Trenton is one of those districts.

Trenton was awarded around $350 million in school construction funds.

At that time the Board of Education (BOE) set up a construction oversite committee. One of the foundational demands was that Trenton's minority population be heavily represented when it came to construction contracts and jobs.

At this meeting the BOE summoned Hill International, the project manager for the district, before them to explain how inclusive the Trenton minority population has been.

The report was dubious, at best.

After some spirited questions from the BOE it mostly boiled down to the fact few minority companies and/or workers benefit from this massive construction undertaking.

The reasons given include; 1) minority companies are not certified by the state 2) minority workers are not certified by the state.

During the past 200 years the state of New Jersey has passed many laws which outline how virtually everything in this state will operate. These laws run the gamut from the constitution through the legislature and the courts. There are massive amounts of laws and regulations which govern how just about all dealings in the state will take place.

The unfortunate thing for minorities is, for the most part, we were not part of this law making process.

Laws passed during New Jersey's slavery period and then during the jim crow era form the basis for laws passed today. This means we are operating in a system which while professing neutrality, in truth is imbued with white supremacy/racism.

There is virtually no way to get rid of it.

When you complain about it, you are shown laws and regulations which they profess are color blind. In truth in 2004 they are. However they are built on the premise of white supremacy/racism.

For an example. For minority workers to get jobs on these construction projects they must be unionized. This is state law. For years the construction unions have been set up and run by white supremacists/racists. What they have done in 2004 is impose certain rules and regulations on how to get into the unions. Some of these rules take advantage of the historic dismal state of the minority community ( a state propagated by white supremacy/racism).

They know a smaller percent of minorities have high school degrees, so they make this one of the requirements. On the surface this seems innocuous, but in effect it is a deliberate barrier designed to keep minorities out.

Another requirement is that all applicants for the trade unions have a valid drivers license. Again, this seems racially benign. But it isn't. Not only the unions, but also the legislature know that crime is higher in poor minority communities. So what they've done is connect the driving 'privilege' with many judicial punishments. The legislature knows minorities will be affected more by their laws, thus depriving them in another seemingly color blind way.

There are thousands of little traps like this which keep white supremacists/racists in positions of dominance. But they have refined their attack on minorities to the point they have minorities helping them do their dirty work.

Peter Harvey the first Black attorney general in New Jersey is the one who decided to drop the states' minority set-aside program on work done for the state. This man should be horse whipped by every minority organization and business in the state and around the country. What he did has effectively removed African Americans and other minorities from sharing in the $8 billion being spent on school construction right in our own neighborhoods. Harvey, Regina Thomas, all other Blacks, Latinos, and other minorities on the racist McGreevey team should be kicked in their butts wherever they go in the Black community.

What they allowed to happen is disgraceful.

Now McGreevey et al are trying to justify it by putting an hoax disparity committee together to study the problem. While they are doing that billions of dollars are going where they have always gone, to white men.

This is another means of perpetuating white supremacy/racism. Even though laws are on the books that help the minority population nothing is done to those who break these laws.

A prime example of this is the school accreditation law for New Jersey school districts. This law has been on the books for thirty years. It's there to ensure a thorough and efficient education for all New Jersey children. But school districts like Trenton, Newark, Camden have never been accredited. And nothing has ever been done about it.

So the New Jersey department of education, which is responsible for enforcing this law, is right here in Trenton and also runs the day to day operation in the Newark school district, has allowed these districts to purposely run substandard schools. They have never been brought to task for this. Our leaders, who are there to protect and defend us, such as Mayor Palmer have never questioned the department or pressed the matter in the courts.

This is white supremacy/racism. And those who preserve this system are white supremacists/racists. and. The minorities who help them are agents for white supremacy/racism.

I know many of you sometime feel like you are being abused but the laws and regulations all seem so color blind. Don't be fooled. You are not crazy. Neither are you wrong. White supremacy/racism has become so refined that it feels good to many of those suffering from it. But just like refined cocaine, even though it feels good it is killing you.
